What people are saying about COSA
“The members of COSA face a number of unique and challenging situations in their invaluable day-by-day work in support of their respective superintendents. In many ways, the superintendent assistant is not only the face of the district, they support one of the toughest positions in any school district... that of the superintendent. As such, they also need to grow in their professional development. COSA provides an opportunity for the members to network, seek answers and support each other as they grow professionally.”

“As a first time COSA Retreat attendee, I was impressed with the useful information shared by the guest speakers. I also learned so much from the other retreat attendees. I walked away feeling like I was empowered and rejuvenated. I’ve already scheduled next year’s event on my calendar.”

"I live in the Southwest part of the state, so it is difficult for me to attend any of the monthly COSA meetings.  However, the membership dues are well worth paying for the information sharing that goes on all year long!  I can send out an email to our COSA group - and within the hour I usually have an answer to my question, a draft of a new policy I needed, or suggestions for additional resources to try!  Everyone is so willing to help each other out!  COSA is a network of knowledgeable experts who all do the same duties for different school districts across the state, and are willing to share their best with each other!!  What a wonderful group!   Thanks COSA!!!"

Please send Sheryl Wahlert your thoughts about COSA.
I would like to encourage you to support your assistant’s membership in this professional organization and his/her attendance at the Professional Development Conference.  My assistant, JJ, serves as Co-chair and has been a member of this group for several years.  She has gained knowledgeable information that is pertinent and timely to decisions implemented by the Superintendent and Board of Education.  She receives updated information about school law/policy changes and an understanding and awareness of current issues affecting education.  She is also afforded the opportunity to network with superintendent’s assistants throughout the state of Colorado.  Please join me in supporting the mission of the Colorado Organization of Superintendents’ Assistants (COSA).
